Live in care is ideal for people who value their independence, and wish to remain within in the comfort of their own home, avoiding the possible upset and disruption associated with having to move away from familiar surroundings.   As the term ‘live in’ suggests the carer lives in the house with the person they have been asked to look after, following a bespoke care plan specifically created for that individual.  The carer will recognise that the care will change simultaneously with the client’s needs, and respond accordingly.

Live in care is not necessarily long term, sometimes it can be required for a short period following a hospital discharge, whilst the patient heals and learns to

re-adjust, or perhaps a person’s normal carer is temporarily unavailable.

A live in carer will offer companionship, expressing the same compassion as they would for a member of their own family, and help with personal care, medication, and housekeeping.
